The International Forum of window and facade systems WinTecExpo 2009 has opened

On 19 January the International Forum WinTecExpo Ukraine 2009 opening ceremony was held in the International Exhibition Center.

During the opening ceremony the exhibitors and visitors were greeted by honorary guests: the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey Erdogan Serif Iscan, The President of the Ukrainian Union of manufacturers of construction materials and goods Ivan Saliy, the President of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine Igor Shpara, brand director of the International Exhibition Group GiMA (Germany) Ludger Muller.

During the First International Festival «Architecture of Facades 2009» jury estimated works submitted to the competition and chosed the best 45 of them which photos are exposed on the show.

Later on the roundtable «The new buildings facades — Kyiv visiting card. Top-10 of new buildings which facades are remembered».

In the discussion that was held with assistance of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Construction Association, the Ukrainian Union of manufacturers of building materials, the representatives of the Ministry of regional development and construction of Ukraine, companies «Yevroviknobud», «Dialogue Classic», «Shatro», CAM Demin, Deol Partners, DeVision and some Mass Media spoke.

The participants agreed that top-5 of the most memorable objects should include:

• Hyatt Hotel
• Parus BC
• Mandarin Plaza TC
• Leonardo BC
